Rebel Gem: Rebel in Rhythm and Gem of Music


Melbourne (Amrinder Gidda): You can say he is one of the odds, you can give him a unique name but let's be fair, "don't give him any ordinary name". He carries his special sovereignty he is rebellion in the music, yes we are talking about Rebel Gem. A man armed with creativity and meaningful approach for society.

Yes, we are talking about Arvinder Singh aka Rebel Gem, born in Kila Raipur, Punjab. The name itself is unique Rebel and Gem together. At least once in our life, we heard someone saying that "the imprint of a dad will forever remain on his son". Well, that's true in Arvinder's life as well. Arvinder's father Sarbjit Singh is also a poet and lyricist. He got the music imprint from his father. 

Apart from family connection with music, Arvinder had aspirations to touch the high note of music in life. He went to Australia to achieve academics in music and guess what not many people do that. That shows his commitment and answer your question if you are asking yourself, why he is rebellion? He is now a graduate of Bachelor in Music and Composition from the Australian Institute of Music (AIM). You might have heard AIM name earlier as Sydney based International artist D. Minor also an Alumni of AIM. 


Back in 2014 Arvinder arranged the songs, compose the songs and made background music of a movie Little Terrors. The "Little Terrors" movie loaded with the star cast such as Om Puri and Deep Dhillon. He also had the honour to work along with famous Bollywood celebrities singers Sunidhi Chauhan and Master Saleem. 

Arvinder is a people person his music, songs and compositions are reflections of the man behind the keyboard. Arvinder's brother Satwinder Singh represented Chandigarh in Senior National Hockey Championship back in India. Alumni of AIM then bided for the official song for Hockey World Cup in 2018. This time he gives away something for his brother and also for the national game of India. 

He supported the background mix mastering in the short science fiction movie Zoe. Zoe was in the list of the official selection at Sydney Indian Film Festival, Los Angles Independent Film Festival Awards and also in New York movie awards 2019.

In his short journey, Arvinder also had silverware to display in his cabinet. He won the best Australian Community Singer Award at Festival of Talent and ACTAP awards. Arvinder knows how to grow moreover he understands how important is the networking in the music sector. He recently participated at 5th Manhattan International Music Competition in the COVID effected year. Isn't a bold commitment from a young rebellion? Oh yes.


He also released his projects with Harp Farmer Pictures, T-Series, Saga Music and Music Time. He is carrying a lot of mighty minty and mystery bag of his music.
